About the Role:
Job Title: Executive Trainee – Milk Procurement (BMC Operations)
Location: Rotational within Telangana State
Reports to: Manager – Procurement / Regional Operations
Job Summary:
The Procurement Executive Trainee is the primary link between our organization and the farming community. The incumbent will be responsible for the end-to-end milk collection process, ensuring that the BMCUs operate at peak efficiency while building a loyal, high-yield network of local dairy farmers. The goal is simple but challenging: Maximize Supply and ensure quality while maintaining rock-solid farmer relationships.
Key Responsibilities:
Farmer Network Management: Identify and onboard new farmers to the network. Maintain regular touchpoints with existing dairy farmers to ensure loyalty and address grievances.
Procurement Operations: Oversee the daily collection of milk at the BMCU. Ensure accurate weighing, testing for fat/SNF (Solids-Not-Fat), and transparent payment processing.
Quality Control: Enforce strict hygiene standards at the chilling units. Monitor the chilling process to maintain the cold chain and minimize Milk Spoilage.
Extension Services: Act as an advisor to the farmers. Educate them on clean milk production, animal nutrition, and vaccination schedules to improve both quality and yield.
Logistics & Data: Manage the scheduling of milk tankers and local collection routes. Maintain meticulous records of daily procurement volumes and farmer payments.
The Ideal Candidate Profile:
Education- Degree in Agriculture, Dairy Technology, Animal Husbandry, or Rural Management, or equivalent bachelor’s degree.
Mobility- Must possess a two-wheeler and be willing to travel extensively to remote villages.
Language- Proficiency in the local regional language is non-negotiable.
Core Competencies:
Relationship Building: You don't just "manage" farmers; you build trust. You understand the rural socio-economic landscape.
Operational Integrity: You have a zero-tolerance policy for milk adulteration or data manipulation.
Problem-Solving: Whether it's a power failure at the BMC or a logistical bottleneck during monsoon, you find a way to keep the milk cold and moving.
